mmWave Radar Automotive Corner Radar:

  • Blind Spot Detection (BSD): mmWave radar continuously monitors the vehicle’s lateral blind zones in real time. When a vehicle enters the blind spot, the system issues audible or visual alerts to the driver, effectively reducing the risk of lane-change collisions caused by limited visibility.

  • Lane Change Assist (LCA): During lane change maneuvers, mmWave radar tracks surrounding vehicle movements in adjacent lanes. If an approaching vehicle is detected, the system provides timely warnings to ensure the driver can change lanes safely and confidently.

  • Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA): While reversing, mmWave radar monitors traffic on both sides of the rear of the vehicle. If it detects approaching vehicles or pedestrians, it alerts the driver to prevent potential collisions during backing maneuvers.

  • Rear Collision Warning (RCW): mmWave radar provides real-time monitoring of rear traffic conditions. If it identifies a potential rear-end collision risk, the system issues an early warning, enabling the driver to take evasive action and avoid impact. 

  • Door Open Warning (DOW): When the vehicle is parked and occupants are preparing to open the doors, the mmWave radar actively monitors traffic approaching from behind. If any vehicle or pedestrian is detected, the system automatically issues a warning to help prevent door-opening accidents and improve roadside safety.

  • Automatic Parking Assist (APA): mmWave radar provides high-precision perception of the vehicle’s surroundings, offering accurate and reliable data for the automatic parking system. Based on this input, the APA system intelligently calculates the optimal parking trajectory and takes full control of steering, braking, acceleration and gear shifting. This enables the vehicle to perform automatic parking and exiting maneuvers smoothly, improving both parking safety and user convenience.
